High Availability - Cold, Warm, Hot

Clustering is the most common technique to achieve High availability for any services by introducing redundancy in software, hardware and data. In a failure the clustering software immediately start the application on the standby system without requiring administrative intervention. Depending on the type of redundancy in software to be provided for High Availability, clusters can be configured in any of the following configurations:

• Cold Standby: The secondary node acts as backup of another identical primary system. It will be installed and configured only when the primary node breaks down for the first time. Subsequently, In the  case of a failure in the primary the secondary node is powered on and the data restored before finally starting the failed component. Data from primary system can be backed up on a storage system and  restored on secondary system as and when required. This generally provides a recovery time of a few hours. สรุปคือปิดเครืองสำรองไว้
• Warm Standby: The software component is installed and available on the secondary node. The secondary node is up and running. In the case of a failure on the primary node, these software components are started on the secondary node. This process is usually automated using a cluster manager.Data is regularly mirrored to secondary system using disk based replication or shared disk. • Hot Standby: Software components are installed and available on both primary and secondary nodes. The software components on the secondary system are up but will not process data or requests. Quality Assurance (QA) VS. Quality Control (QC)

1. QA คือ การประกันคุณภาำพ
หน้าที่ของ QA
Scope งานของ QA คือการประกันคุณภาพ โดยมีหน้าที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับกระบวนการในการพัฒนาซอฟแวร์(process) พวกเขาจะสร้างและประเมิน processs ที่ใช้ในการสร้าง products
และ QA จะเป็นผู้สร้างเกณฑ์เพื่อให้สามารถวัดคุณภาพของ process ได้ เพื่อทำการพัฒนา process ให้ดีขึ้นลดปัญหาที่ทำให้เกิด defects
ตัวอย่างเช่น ทำการตรวจสอบว่า product A นี้มี Test Plan หรือไม่ แล้ว Test Plan ผ่านตามเกณฑ์ที่ได้สร้างไว้หรือไม่
มี Unit Testing หรือไม่ แล้ว Unit testing ผ่านตามเกณฑ์ที่ได้สร้างไว้หรือไม่ ก่อนที่จะนำไปใช้เป็นต้น

2. QC คือ การควบคุมคุณภาพ
หน้าที่ของ QC
QC จะเป็นผู้ที่ทำตาม process ที่ QA ได้วางกระบวนการไว้ ทำการตรวจสอบว่า product ตรงกับ specification หรือไม่
ตรวจหา defects จาก product
ตัวอย่างเช่น ทำการตรวจสอบ product A ตาม Test Plan ว่ามี defects เกิดขึ้นหรือไม่ ตรงตาม specification หรือไม่

Fabric

In information technology, fabric is a synonym for the words framework or platform.

In general, the term fabric describes the way different parts of something work together to form a single entity.  In information technology, fabric is used as a metaphor to illustrate the idea that if someone were to document computer components and their relationships on paper, the lines would weave back and forth so densely that the diagram would resemble a woven piece of cloth.

The term fabric is commonly used to describe data or storage area networks (SANs).  Increasingly, however, vendors are using the term to describe the servers, high-speed connections and switches that make up a cloud computing platform.

Cognitive computing is the simulation of human thought processes in a computerized model.

Cognitive computing involves self-learning systems that use data mining, pattern recognition and natural language processing to mimic the way the human brain works. The goal of cognitive computing is to create automated IT systems that are capable of solving problems without requiring human assistance.

Cognitive computing systems use machine learning algorithms. Such systems continually acquire knowledge from the data fed into them by mining data for information. The systems refine the way they look for patterns and as well as the way they process data so they become capable of anticipating new problems and modeling possible solutions.

Cognitive computing is used in numerous artificial intelligence (AI) applications, including expert systems, natural language programming, neural networks, robotics and virtual reality. The term cognitive computing is closely associated with IBM’s cognitive computer system, Watson.

Expert system

In artificial intelligence, an expert system is a computer system that emulates the decision-making ability of a human expert. Expert systems are designed to solve complex problems by reasoning about knowledge, represented primarily as if–then rules rather than through conventional procedural code.

An expert system is an example of a knowledge-based system. Expert systems were the first commercial systems to use a knowledge-based architecture. Components of ES:

• Knowledge Base:

  This is a repository of information, facts, and rules relevant to a particular field. Think of it as the expert's knowledge, stored in a structured way. 

Inference Engine:

• This component uses logical rules to process information from the knowledge base and derive new conclusions or solutions to problems. It acts like the expert's reasoning process.

User Interface:

• Allows users to interact with the system, input information about a problem, and receive advice or solutions.
• ES can give choices like Recommendation system.
• Instead of a fixed set of rules, the knowledge base can be a trained machine learning model. The inference process can be no longer just logical deduction. The ML model itself acts as the inference engine by taking new data as input and producing a prediction or classification as output. It uses the patterns it learned from the data to "reason" and arrive at a conclusion.

JSP vs Java Servlet:

• Servlet is html in java whereas JSP is java in html.
• Servlets run faster compared to JSP
• JSP can be compiled into Java Servlets
• It’s easier to code in JSP than in Java Servlets
• JSP is a webpage scripting language that can generate dynamic content while Servlets are Java programs that are already compiled which also creates dynamic web content
• In MVC, jsp acts as a view and servlet acts as a controller.
• JSP are generally preferred when there is not much processing of data required. But servlets are best for use when there is more processing and manipulation involved.
• The advantage of JSP programming over servlets is that we can build custom tags which can directly call Java beans. There is no such facility in servlets.
• We can achieve functionality of JSP at client side by running JavaScript at client side. There are no such methods for servlets.
• A servlet is like any other Java class. You put HTML into print statements like you use System.out or how JavaScript uses document.write. A JSP technically gets converted to a servlet but it looks more like PHP files where you embed the Java into HTML.

Flutter is Google's UI development framework for iOS&Android using Dart programming language.
